Eliza stood out in front of the modeling agency looking like she was a volcano about to erupt. The girl was pacing in tank top, long flare jeans and gucci boots. "I swear, if Caitlyn went shopping without me....! She wasn't extremely close to her twin sister, but they had their things. Shopping was the best way for them to get along. They both loved it and knew exactly what the other looked best in, and could be brutally honest with each other.
More pacing.... "Ugh! Cheerleading practice better've run over or I will be so pissed at her!" She tried to reach her sister by cell phone but there was no answer. There was no way Eliza was walking home! Especially in her Gucci boots. Hell, the pacing she was dooing was bad enough for them. Eliza knew she couldn't call the limo driver. He had the afternoon off.
"I am so asking Daddy for my own car when I get home!" She leaned against a building post and sighed. |

Tobias had just gotten out of work. He had taken a job at the Candy Kitchen on the Boardwalk. Probably not the best thing for him to do since he had such a bad sweet tooth. It was a Busy day, since Tourist season started about few weeks ago. He was wearing Jeans and a polo t-shirt. His blond spiky hair was covered by a backwards baseball cap.
As he walked past Angelo's he spotted Eliza. She was pacing and he thought it could be a bad omen but he decided to go and say hi to his friend. "Hey Eliza. Caitlyn is late again?" he asked curiously. then he said "how are you?" |

Eliza was going in the oposite direction when Tobias came up to greet her. Boy, she froze when she heard his voice. Now was so not a good time to see him. Well... at least he didn't have Caitlyn plastered to him as usual. She put on a fake smile and sighed. "Of course she is. She's never on time... why would I expect her to be here when I asked her to?" She almost growled. "A little bit, I can understand... but half an hour.... We were supposed to go shopping!"
She shook her head. Maybe ranting about her sister would make the boy see what bad a choice he'd made. No, she shouldn't.... "I'm alright Tobias. How are you?" She nonchilantly checked him out as he stood in front of her. It looked like he'd just gotten off work himself. "So gorgeous," she thought to herself. "And so not fair." |

Tobi laughed lightly at the fact that Caitlyn is never on time. "Yeah. she is always late... that is why when i want her to be on time or early... i tell her to come an hour earlier than is needed" He made a silly face at that. "shame that she is late eh? but considering that if she was on time,for once, then we wouldn't get to talk am i right?"
Tobi grinned and said "oh i am pretty good. Work was chaotic but that is normal because of tourists." he took one of the taffy pieces from his bag. It was his weakness. the saltwater taffy. he unwrapped it an ate it. then after he swallowed he asked, "Want one? they were made fresh today" he held out the bag. |

Eliza sat down on the nearest bench and patted it, implying Tobias could sit down. "Yeah, that's what I usually do. But this is shopping! She never says no to shopping. And she's USUALLY... nearly on time for it." She smiled at the boy and took a piece of taffee. "Thanks. She popped it in her mouth and gave a real smile. "Well... at least I know you aren't the one holding her up." She laughed slightly. "Yeah, it's nice to see you without my twin glued to your hip."
Bitter much? Yes she was. But hey, Tobias is a guy, he can't pick up on that stuff, right? |

Tobi laughed as he sat down on the bench near Eliza. "so i am not the only one who uses the time trick on her eh?"he nodded and said "Ah... this is so not like her. missing out on Shopping" He grinned and said "you're welcome. and yeah at least i am not the one holding her up today. i would never keep her from her previous shopping engagements." He laughed and said "yeah. it is good to be free from her for few hours." |

"Nope, you aren't the only one. Sorry." She let out a little laugh. "I think my parents were the first ones actually. Or maybe our teachers told them to start doing. I don't know. It's been awhile." Eliza laughed. "We really are polar opposites she and I. She's late getting places and I'm late getting home. Well... just with parties and stuff. Dad told me to start saying I have to leave an hour or so before I really do so that I won't miss curfew. Otherwise my friends get me to stay longer than I should."
Eliza's ears perks up ever so slightly. He didn't like spending every waking moment with Caitlyn like she thought he did? YAY! She laughed. "It's a very good thing. Because if it was you, I'd be forced to kick your ass." She laughed and she finished off her piece of taffee. "Which would totally suck, because you're one of the few people I actually like around here." That was an understatement. She really liked Tobias, REALLY! She'd had a crush on him for years. Caitlyn knew it too, she knew that Eliza liked him but she started dating him anyway. That's breaking the unwritten girl code. What's worse is that they're sisters, twin sister!
"I have the opposite problem. I mean, we're twins but we hardly spend enough time together." She shrugged. "Oh well. I guess we'll just have to reschedule shopping for another day. By now all the weirdoes and ugly people are clogging the stores." She flipped her hair and ran her fingers through it, exposing her birth mark streak of dirty blonde hair.
"Tobias... you wouldn't happen to have your car with you?" She looked at him hopefully. Perhaps he could give her a ride home. |

Tobi laughed softly and said in a teasing tone, "darn and i thought i was the only one." he made a silly face about it."I could tell you guys were different.But that is what is cool"He shrugged and said "i am lucky that i don't have a curfew. but i usually get home by midnight anyways."
He laughed softly and said "oh...i wouldn't want you to kick my butt. even if you were just kidding" then he admitted quietly,"some days i rather hang with you instead of her."He smiled softly and said "I am glad that we are friends. life would be so boring without you as a friend"
Tobi chuckled and said "what a shame that you don't spend as much time with her as possible" He smirked and said in a teasing tone, "yeah and you wouldn't want to get stuck with them now do you. hard time finding the good stuff"

Eliza cringed. "I'm too busy to get in at midnight. I need that curfew." She smiled. "It's not like it's nine or something. My curfew is eleven. But I try to get home around ten thirty so that I'm actually IN BED at eleven." She laughed. The girl was being down right rotten now. Trying to get him to picture her in bed.
Really? He liked hanging out with her more... sometimes. Eliza wanted ot know exactly what he meant by that. She could find out later though. Then he said that 'friend' comment. Wait, did this mean he only liked her as a friend, one of the guys, the gang, his peeps? Yeah, every couple needed to spend time away from each other. Even her parents did that. But... was she just the stand in on those days?
She was brought back to reality when he started teasing her abot the shopping. "Hey! Don't tease about that. I'm serious. It's gross going into a store when fat women in their torties are trying to squeeze into vlothes in the juniors section. It's not a pretty picture."
She let out a little laugh and tossed her hair the other way now. "You wouldn't mind... giving me a ride home? Would you?" She really hoped he would. But... of course he would. She was asking Tobias. This was the sweetest guy in the entire school! |

Tobi chuckled and said "that is better than me. i mean i try to get in by midnight, but when i hang with the guys at H2O.... i end up leaving at midnight then add time for travel... i am lucky if i get to bed before One in the morning. " He looked sheepish. "few times i get grounded for that"
He laughed and cringed"gosh that isn't a pretty image. I mean dude... couldn't they realize they need to find something that actually suits them and nothing too tight." He shuddered lightly as he pictured it. "damn... i have to find a way to get that mental image out of my mind"
Tobi grinned and said "i would love to give you a ride home. i mean it would give us a chance to hang out a bit" he loved to hang out with her. part of him wishes he wasn't dating her twin. |

Eliza laughed. Ah, another chance to tease. "Oh, well, I guess I just have more will power than you." She sat up straight and tried to look all professional like to be silly. She laughed at his sheepish look as she thought about his parents and getting him grounded. Who could say no to his cute face?
She stuck her tongue out at him as he tried to get the mental image out of his mind. "Ha! That's what you get for teasing!" She knew a way to get that picture out of his head. "Gah! Stop it, Eliza! He's your sister's boyfriend!" She sighed.
She smiled when he said he would take her home. "Yay! I'll love you forever!" Like she didn't already? She grabbed her purse. "Want to go now?" |

Tobias sighed and said "oh well. i am not perfect and i am proud not to be. i mean life would be dull if i was perfect. am i right?" He chuckled and said "besides, it is hard to pull myself away from the music. it just speaks to me." It was obvious that even though he was on the baseball team as the pitcher, he rather be on stage and such.
Tobias made a silly face as he tried to get the mental image out of his head. "damn my visual mind" he said laughing. He tried thinking of other things to get his mind off the bad image. what surprised him most was when he pictured Eliza's pretty eyes and smile, the bad image went away. it didn't even do that when he thought of Caitlyn. ' dude... this is wrong... you can't be crushing on your girlfriend's sister.Snap Out Of It! he thought.
Tobias smiled and said "sure, let's go now" and he got up. he did alittle stretch first. "ok i parked near the pier...only few minute walk from here" But in the back of his mind, he wondered if she really did mean the love him thing. |

Eliza gave him a sweet smile. "Well, sometimes the best things about a person is their flaws." She blushed slightly. "Yeah? The music calls to you?" She giggled as she said it in a British accent. "Sorry... too much Pirates of the Caribbean." She grinned.
Eliza bit her lip when Tobias cursed his visual mind. "Sorry, Tobias." She gave him a lopsided smile. The girl loved his full name, Tobias, not Tobi... like her sister called him. Tobi sounded like a dog's name. Ah, there. Thinking about her sister got her out of it. Now hse was thinking about how angry she was at her twin and not how hott she thought the boy was.
"Cool." She started to walk, not caring if anyone stared at her. She as a model after all. Plus, she had Tobias there to act as her boyfriend if some jerk came up and started to hit on her. The heel of her boots clicked as she walked and her hair blew lightly in the breeze. |

Tobias blushed and said "i agree on that. i mean i would rather someone love me for who i am.... not who they think i should be. " then he said "i wouldn't want to be with someone who is perfect all the time." then he laughed, "Oh? i love that movie. i used to be able to recite the whole movie. it drove the rents bonkers as it were."
"it's ok. but i am glad i got it out of my mind. because that is something that would scar me for life" he said jokingly. "but seriously, my visual mind is useful for somethings. and it helps me remember things." then he said without thinking really, "like the first thing i think of when i think of you... is your beautiful eyes and smile" He didn't realize he said it of course. because otherwise he would be blushing.
Tobias walked along looking at everyone who he passed. he thought that the tourists were completely insane. But he thought that at least they come to get a vacation. |

If he didn't like people who tried ot be perfect all the time, then why was he dating Caitlyn, Miss Plastic surgery? Eliza giggled when he quoted more of the movie. "Ah, I see." She grinned and nodded.
"Yea, it's cool. I wish I had a visual mind." Maybe then she wouldn't have ot study so hard to get all those straight A's. She almsot froze when he complimented her eyes and smile. "WOAH! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!" Eliza felt like she was having a heart attack or something. "He probably didn't mean it, just a friendly little remark." She tried ot reason with herself.
"The tourists are looking good this year... not nearly as crazy as last year's group." Now she was making small talk to try and forget about what he'd said. |
