Tobias nodded and said "yeah. inner beauty is more important than outer beauty" He shrugged as he continued walking. as he walked he thought about what he was saying. it was making him think twice about everything.like did he like Caitlyn as much as he said he did.
"yeah. but it can be horrible sometimes"he said with a shudder. then he said," i mean i am able to remember the lines in a script faster than anyone. it is quite hilarious. " he laughed as he remembered the spring musical. it had been the musical, Suessical and he was the Cat in the Hat.
Tobias laughed and said "yeah... strangely subdued it seems. i mean not many people trying to flash others... almost no crazy hawaiian shirts..." |

Yep, finally, a jock who didn't care about the plastics looks. Tobias was a real deal, and raw, if you will. "Oh, oh my god! I know right! And the sun screen noses, and camara's around their necks... and fanny packs!" The teasing of tourists was like a sport to teenagers here. Yes, Eliza was deep and cared about inner beauty like she said.... but sometimes, making fun of tourists just couldn't be helped.
"You know, you were really good in that, by the way... the play." She went to all his shows of course, and not just one show every time they had a new one. No, she went to at least one show a day, usually it would be the last one of the day she she could tag along at the cast parties and hang out with people.
When they rached his car, Eliza waited. She didn't want to just charge his car. Maybe he had stuff he needed to move out of the front seat? It was more polite to wait, so she did. |

Tobias laughed and said "yeah seriously.... when wwill people get that fanny packs are never in style.i mean if they want to have more fun, they should try to actually blend in. i mean gosh... they are like total shoebies you know what i mean? i mean they wear socks with their sandels and stuff... it is just not right."
Tobias blushed and said "thanks. i mean part of me feels more at home there than on the pitcher's mound. but most people would hate me if i quit the team and i have alot of fun on the team..." he sighed and said "besides... i am not a quitter when it comes to that"
Tobias went to his car and unlocked it. He opened the passenger side front seat and made sure everything was clean. then he said "come on in." |

Eliza felt like she might pee her pants because she was laughing so hard. "Yeah! I know!" She shrugged as she he went on. "Maybe it's in the tourist hand guide, rule... thirteen. 'You must dress like a crazy fool'. Rule thirteen A: fanny packs and socks with sandals are required." She laughed even harder as she got into the car and put her seat belt on.
"Oh, well you're great at baseball too." She nodded. "You can be good at more than one thing. Sure, we all have our main stations... but we don't hae ot stay put." |

Tobias laughed so hard. he was lucky that he didn't drink anything recently or it would be spit out because how hard he was laughing. He smiled and closed her door for her and went over to his side. he got the keys out from his pocket and put it in the ignition. then he put his seatbelt on.
after he turned the motor on, he said "Thanks. i tried so hard to be well rounded. i mean it looks good on college apps and such. and it made dad proud when we won the championships last year." then he nodded and said "yeah i don't even know what my main station is anymore. perhaps that is a good thing" |

Yep, this is the way things were supposed to be, just her and Tobias, laughing and having fun. SHe played with her hair a little as she waited for him to get to his side of the car. She was still laughed and little as she got comfortable when he started up the engine.
"No biggie!" She chuckled. "Hey, I'm only called a plastic because I know how to use a credit card... and I know fashion... and I play dirty.... but that's besides the point!" She laughed. "Yeah, it's a good thing." |

Tobias smiled as he started to back out of the parking spot. the radio automatically started playing his ipod list. but it was on low. Just so he could hear her. "you know... i am actually glad that Caitlyn was late, just so i get the chance to hang with you" he definitely preferred her company.
"yeah that is besides the point. because you aren't just beautiful and stylish... you are pretty smart too." he pulled out of the space and was driving to get out of the parking lot. and past the museum of water safety. |

Eliza smiled. "Well... she still isn't off the hook with me... but yeah. I'm glad too. Since you guys started dating... you and I haven't had a good chance ot hang out." That was completely and entirely Eliza's fault. She just hurt so much... knowing that he was going out with her sister.
She blushed when he complimented her about her smarts. "Thanks, Tobias." She sighed and kept quiet for a little while. She was trying to listen to the music playing.... but she couldn't focus. Her head was swimming with things that the boy had said while they were hanging out.
"Tobias, pull over!" She needed to do something and she needed the car to be still. They had gotten far enough away from any busy streets. It would be okay for him to pull over. |

Tobias smiled and said "yeah i missed hanging out with you. it is just weird not hanging out like we used to." he wished they hung out more. It hurt that he couldn't hang with her as much as he used to.
Then he said "you're welcome. but seriously... i was only speaking the truth. or what i see as the truth. you know what i mean?" of course he was totally babbling. He tapped the beat of the songs on the steering wheel while at the stoplight.
When Eliza told him to pull over, he was curious.but he didn't question it until he pulled into another parking lot. incidentally it was the parking lot to the club."what is it?" he asked curiously. |

Eliza was huffing, trying to calm down and gather all her courage. She just sat there, staring at him for a minute and then, all of the sudden... Eliza's seat belt was off and she was lunging toward Tobias. She cupped his face with her hands softly and kissed him.
This was no 'oh, i miss you' type kiss, this was an 'oh my god, I've waited years to do this' type of kiss. It was filled with all the passion and lust she'd felt for the boy. When she finally had to break free from his lips, she hung her head and pulled away. "I've... been wanting to do that.... for years." She was slightly out of breath. |

Tobias sat there stunned when Eliza kissed him. but strangely enough, he kissed her back. his kiss was gentle but loving. he knew he shouldn't have kissed her back. especially because of the fact he was dating her sister and the fact he told Caitlyn that he wouldn't cheat on her. but it felt so right for once. to kiss Eliza.
He blushed deeply."er... wow" is all he could say. he couldn't get the blush off his face. he had the cutest smile on his face and said softly,"i would be lying if i said that i didn't want to kiss you for years as well.... i know i shouldn't have kissed you back. but... i wanted to... " |

Her head snapped up to see his reaction. Well... he had kissed her back, but sometimes guys do that on accident and don't mean it. 'Wow', he said. Then he sad he shouldn't have. Eliza frowned. She shouldn't have kissed him either... but she did it anyway.
"Then why her? Why are you dating her? She looked a little upset now. "It kills me every time I see you with her." She leaned in again. Eliza wanted to kiss him again! Once just wasn't enough. |

Tobias tried to think of the reasons. He looked thought ful as he said, "well first of all... i didn't know you liked me like that, i guess i am a bit slow on that" then he replied with, "i was too scared to ruin our friendship because our friendship meant the world to me." He sighed as he continued to think of the reasons. "she asked me first. and yes i know i should of told her no. but i didn't because as i said before i didn't know how you felt."
Tobias looked at her and said "i am sorry that it hurts to see me with your sister. " he looked apologetic. "if i could change the past... it would be you who i was with,and her being jealous.because i honestly like you more than her." |

Eliza listened to his reasons. She couldn't be upset about it... especially after he said her friendship meant the world to him. And he said he liked her more. Well... this was interesting. The dark haired girl sat back in her seat and ran a hand through her hair. When he mentioned Caitlyn being jealous, her spirit sank. They'd just kissed and now they had to go back to being just friends, like nothing had happened.
Yes, she as furious with Caitlyn and yes she was still madly in love with the boy sitting next to her, but Eliza couldn't betray her sister like that. She's already gone to far by kissing him. "You realize... it's too late now. You can't just, break up with her on a whim and then start dating me. And she can't find out we kissed." She looked up at Tobias. "I mean... she is my sister and no matter how much she ticks me off.... I still love her." He hadn't said he didn't love Caitlyn either. He said he wished he was dating Eliza because he liked her more, that was it.
Eliza pulled her seat belt back on and stared ahead. "Well... we'll always have... the parking lot." She had just then realized where it was that they'd pulled over. |

Tobias looked ahead in thought. He sighed softly and said "yeah... i know. even if i wanted to... i know i shouldn't break off with her. well at least not yet. but i do got to say... the kiss and the chat we had made me rethink things a bit. ok alot. " He looked at her softly. "i won't tell her that we kissed. " he said gently.
He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down because his mind wanted to kiss her again, but he knew he shouldn't. "it's sweet that you love your sister. " he chuckled at the last thing she said "yeah that is true. we will always have the parking lot" he had the cutest grin on his face. |
