Eliza curled up in the seat. Had she realized that she was just going to dig herself further into the horrible pit of dispair, she wouldn't have kissed him. Now she knows how he feels and they can't do anything about it. She sighed and hung her head, letting her hair cover her face.
"I'm ready to go home now." Eliza wasn't usually a cryer. Heck she couldn't remember the time she actually had cried. But she couldn't really do anything to stop the little tears that rolled down her cheeks.
She sighed as she tried to calm down. "Tobias, you wouldn't mind if I told Carlie would you? She knows I like you... well cause it's her fault. But... I am going to have to talk to someone about this and she'd like.. my serogate sister." She blinked to stop the tears finally. Oh, Eliza was so thankful Tobias couldn't see her face since he was looknig forward. "I just... wanted to ask because, well I know you guys are exes to. But I know she won't blab anything. And... you can tell Josh if you have ot talk to you guy friends about it. He's good at keeping secrets, right?" She knew all the guys on the team, but she knew that Josh was like, his best friend. |

Tobias nodded and said "oh alright" softly. he started up the engine again. His mind was still totally boggled at the moment, but he was hoping he would get over it. "Hm? " asked then he said "oh yeah go ahead and tell Carlie if you need to. I trust her enough not to blab." he tried to laugh as he muttered, "me tell the guys about kissing? i am not a kiss and tell person. and you know even with Josh there is a possibility that it would leak out if i told him.but he is better at keeping secrets than most" |

Not a kiss and tell type... maybe she shouldn't tell Carlie then? But hse had to vent. She couldn't suffer alone! It would turn her into an emo. "Oh... yeah." She sighed. Maybe it would be easy for him to pretend like it never happened, especially if he didn't tell anyone.
Eliza knew that's how they had to act, but she wanted to tell someone! It made it more real that way. She didn't dare look at Tobias. Her eyes always stayed forward. She might hum along with the music, but that was the only other noise that came from her. Finally she moved her head, but it was in the opposite direction, looking out her window at the beautiful scenery. A hand went up and fingers tangled lightly in her hair and she rested her forhead against her wrist. |

Tobias tried to keep his mind on the road.He passed couple shops. When he stopped at the stop light, he glanced at Eliza.then he glanced back at the road as the light turned green. "there is some part of me... i don't know how big yet... that wishes i could just break up with Caitlyn. but if i do... and whatever happens... she will probably never speak to me again. " he sighed softly. "it will be hard to pretend the kiss never happened especially since it made my heart race and all." he had a ha;f of a smile when he drove along.

Eliza really wished he wouldn't talk to her about Caitlyn. As much as she hated it, he was still sweet about Caitlyn too. He was worried about her never speaking to him again. She was feeling horrible for kissing him now. It only made things so much worse. "I'm sorry," she spoke softly, and her voice cracked. "I shouldn't have kissed you."
There was nothing they could really do about it now. Eliza really wished she'd broughten a jacket with her. It was June and she felt like an ice sickle sitting there. |

Tobi looked at her for a brief moment. then looked back at the road just so he wouldn't crash while driving. "no need to be sorry Eliza. i am actually happy you did." then he added "if i had enough guts, i would of kissed you a long time ago." He sighed softly. "it's me who shouldn't had kiss you back. but to be honest, when i kissed you back it was a load off my shoulders."
He continued along the main road that connected the whole town. He hoped that their friendship would still be good after this. he would hate to lose his best friend. |

Eliza couldn't help but smile just a little. He was being so sweet, not blaming her for anything when it was in fact all her fault. "Yeah, I know the feeling." It had felt like a load of her shoulders... even though now she was deeper in the hole than before.
Right, she was just going to have to deal with this. It had only been one little kiss, a tiny infraction. If Caitlyn did somehow find out which would be damn near impossible, at least they could say that. It was only one little weak moment. No real harm done. He'd still stayed with her. Eliza continued to rationalize the kiss in her head as they neared the uptown neighborhood. |

Tobi smiled and said "Yeah" then he drove along to their neighborhood. it was thirty minutes of driving. the familiar old route back and forth every day twice a day at least. but it gave him alot of time to think.perhaps too much time to think... if at all possible.
Soon enough they made it to their neighborhood. Eliza and Caitlyn's house was before his. at least couple houses apart.In between their houses was Josh's house and Carlie's house. it seemed like the one neighborhood decided that they rather be at OCH instead of a private school.
He pulled into Eliza's house's driveway and shut off the engine. "well here we are," he said softly. |

Eliza felt like she was going to bust out of her seat if they didn't get to her house soon. She needed to get out odf the car, away from Tobias. When he parked she had her seat belt off and her door was almost thrown open before he turned off the engine. "Thanks again for the ride, Tobias." She stepped out of the car and practically ran to the front door. Fresh tears were welling up in her eyes.
She only realized too late that she'd forgetten her purse in his car. Eliza leaned against the door and let out a sob. Why did she forget her purse? Now she had to go get it, and face him! Maybe someone could at least open the door for her? Then she could ask them to get her purse? No... no one was home. All the lights were off in the house.
With her arms wrapped around her stomach, Eliza walked slowly back to the car. She opened the passenger side door and looked to see where she'd set her purse down. "I forgot my purse," She accidently looked at Tobias when she told him why she was back at his car. |

Tobias noticed she left her purse in his car. he was about to go and give it to her when she came back to the car. "I knew that. i was about to go and give it to you when you came back" He handed her, her purse. then he looked at her. He noticed that she had been crying. He hated to see someone cry. so he decided to be sweet by blotting away the tears from her eyes with a gentle tissue. "don't cry" he said softly.
then he said "since no one's home, you want to come over and chill for a bit? i mean it's ok if you don't want to...." he wanted to kiss her again for some reason. but he waited. he looked at her with his soft blue eyes. |

"Oh, thanks." She went to take the purse when he started to dab her tears away. Eliza closed her eyes when he dabbed her face with a tissue. "I'm not crying.... This was a complete and obvious lie. "I'm suffering in silence." She nodded her head.
Go hang out? Could they really go and just... hang out, after what had happened but a half hour ago? "Yeah." She sat back down in the car and shut the door. "Why not?" She sighed. How could she ever say no to him? |

Tobias raised an eyebrow and said "you were so crying. and it saddens me to see you upset." he gave her an innocent hug. then he said "what shall we do? just chat or watch a movie or whatever?" as he started the engine again. He backed out of the driveway and drove few houses down and parked in his driveway. he shut off the engine and unbuckled himself quickly. he went over to open Eliza's door like a gentleman would do."we're here!" he said jokingly. then he went in his back seat to get his guitar and bag that he stuffed back there. |

"Same thing." It was a good thing he hadn't been hanging out with her lately. She hadn't been crying, but she had still been upset. Ah, the hug felt so good. She leaned into him and rested her head on his shoulder. Eliza tried ot keep that closeness to him as they backed out of her driveway and went to his. "I think we can do whatever, chat, chillax, whatever."
She shrugged. Her seat belt had never been put back on so once Tobias opened the door for her, she stepped right out, and this time had her purse with her. She ccouldn't stop the laugh from his, 'we're here!'. "Really? Finally! My god! That took forever!" It felt good to her to still be able ot tease and have fun with him after the bit of drama. |

Tobi laughed softly and said "yeah sorry that it took forever." in a sarcastic but playful tone. then he grinned and pulled his key out and unlocked the door. His parents were working so he was alone. "hmm... it feels so good to be home" He breathed deeply. he was being silly by exaggerating his movements. then he said "i'll be right back. i have to check something. i am just heading to my bedroom for a moment. you can come with or stay in the living room and make yourself at home" he climbed up the carpeted stairs.

Eliza tried to hold back a little bit of a lagh when he went along with the joking... and then when he was being silly. "Mkay." She followed him up the stairs. He'd given her the choice... and she didn't want to wait alone in the living room.
The girl did make a short stop into the bathroom to look at herself in the mirror. Her make up hadn't been too ruined from the tears. "Thank god for water resistant mascara." She sighed and popped right back out and went to Tobias' room.
"Is it safe to enter?" She laughed. "No boxers whismically screwn about the floor and dirty socks everyehere?" She opened the dor to his room a little and smiled. It had been awhile since she was up here. But it didn't look like much had changed. |
